我國今年經濟成長率估將優於去年、台灣可能跟進美國升息、美國總統川普可能大幅鬆綁金融法規，三項利多因素加持下，金融業有望金雞報曉迎光明，其中又以壽險業獲利動能最被看好。
台新投信董事長吳火生表示，今年還是有黑天鵝，例如，今年是歐洲的選舉年、美國與中國的關係可能比以往緊張，但總體來說，整個大環境的氣氛對金融業比較有利，主要原因有三。
首先，行政院主計總處預估，今年經濟成長率1.87%，雖較去年8月預測時下修0.01個百分點，仍優於去年的1.35%。其次，美國升息態勢明確，台灣已無降息空間，假設川普政見被逐一實現，料將大幅帶動美國利率走升，屆時台灣不只不能降息、還得被迫跟著升息，而升息對金融業總的來講是好事。
第三，川普主張大幅鬆綁政策法規，想廢除《多德—弗蘭克法案》（Dodd-Frank legislation），減少對金融業的監管。受此激勵，美國的金融股去年11月9日以來至去年底，大漲80%至一倍多。台灣的監理機關受到有關氣氛感染，未來監理方向不會太大緊縮、甚至可能跟著鬆綁，對金融業也是利多。
摩根大通證券研究部副總裁黃聖翔也認為，台灣金融業的獲利動能，今年會比去年好一點，無法一下子鹹魚翻身，但已處於「溫和復甦」的軌道，其中又以壽險業的獲利動能最受期待。
黃聖翔說，以國泰、富邦、新光、中國等大型壽險公司為例，預估2017年稅後純益，年增率可達10～15%，除了今年上半年台股指數料將高於去年同期，另還有費差損情況改善、固定收益資產收益率提高等有利因素，但須留意台美利差擴大下，外匯避險成本可能攀升。
銀行業方面，黃聖翔說，中國信託、玉山、兆豐、元大、第一、台新、永豐、華南等，預估今年稅後純益年增率約13%，但這是包含兆豐銀去年被美國處罰以致獲利減少57億元的數字；法人指出，如果排除兆豐被罰的因素，整體台灣銀行業今年稅後純益估較去年增加5~9%。黃聖翔表示，銀行業獲利持續成長，主要來自放款將隨景氣復甦而增長。
證券業方面，黃聖翔說，調降當沖交易稅率等政策利多及去年台股交易量很差的基期因素下，預估今年台股交易量可較去年增加10%。

蘋果今年3月推出9.7吋iPad Pro，但iPad Air產品線至今已有2年沒有更新。消息傳出，2017年將有3款iPad Pro新品面世，火力全開，希望刺激萎縮的平板市場。
國外科技網站MacRumors報導，來自台灣供應鏈消息指出，蘋果將發布一款10.5吋左右的平板電腦，瞄準「教育和企業」市場，也是明年蘋果iPad端出的陣容之一，預計12月開始生產。
凱基證券分析師郭明錤先前曾爆料，2017年將有3款iPad Pro新品面世，除了對現有的12.9 吋和9.7吋版本升級外，還將新增一款10.5吋螢幕版本，瞄準企業、教育市場。
值得注意的是，消息指出，10吋的iPadPro將會採用無邊框設計，取消Home鍵，而手寫筆僅支持10吋版本及12吋的版本，同時蘋果還會推出第二代觸控筆。
但大陸科技網站對於iPadPro無邊框設計的評論則是「偽命題」，因為蘋果只是讓顯示螢幕把中框部分遮住而已，同時蘋果的曲面螢幕也會比三星的「曲度」小很多，但不會出現類似Apple Watch的黑邊現象；而另有消息認為，明年3款之一的10吋iPad Pro，實際尺寸為10.9吋而非10.5吋。1051125
